Artist Talk Vol.3 with Shizhi

On November 9th, EAST Beijing, in partnership with the local art store UCVIBES, successfully held the third Artist Talk and Creative Workshop at EAST Beijing Domain. We were absolutely thrilled to have the independent artist, Shizhi, with us to share her creative insights and the story of her artistic journey. 

Shizhi's works draw inspiration from the glimmering fragments of life, documenting those heart-stirring people, things, and moments with the aim of inspiring people to cherish the here and now and savor every moment. Her creations capture the small joys of life through gentle hues and a unique perspective, radiating a heartwarming power. Shizhi firmly believes that an artist must first move themselves before they can hope to touch the hearts of others. 

Shizhi has been immersed in the world of creation for a decade. The artworks and woodcarvings on display in the lobby of EAST Beijing serve as a retrospective of her ten-year artistic journey. We have witnessed her evolution from a budding artist fixated on technique to a more free-spirited and open-minded creator. What remains unwavering is her profound respect for art, her passion for painting, and her inquisitive exploration of different lifestyles.

Just as Shizhi has grown and developed over the years, EAST Beijing, after twelve years, has also completed its brand rejuvenation this year. In the brand's renewal journey, EAST has created a utopia for the alternative thinkers, searching for better ways to think, play, work, rest, and live together.
