At EAST, sustainability is a core value that inspires us to make smart choices that lighten our touch on the planet and have a marked improvement on the guest experience.

SAVING WATER, MADE SIMPLE

Our in-room taps feature flow controllers, saving 1,040 liters of water every day. At FEAST, we've introduced flow rate restrictors on our taps, and also serve Belu water at all F&B locations, eliminate single-use bottles by offering filtered water on tap.

THREE LEAFS FOR FEAST

To optimise energy, water and exhaust efficiency, we've installed induction cookers as well as water flow restrictors — earning FEAST a Green Kitchen Initiative Three Leaf rating.

BAO BEER: SUSTAINABLY BREWED FROM BREAD

We partnered with local craft brewery Moonzen Brewery to take surplus bread from Domain and brew it into a lager that's enjoyed bottled or exclusively on tap at Sugar and Mr & Mrs Fox.

COMMUNITY-DRIVEN CHANGE

Sustainability is a team effort. Through our work with local brands such as Conspiracy Chocolate and BeCandle, we make treading lighter a daily decision everyone can enjoy.

WALK OR RIDE AT YOUR OWN PACE

We encourage guests to slow down and explore the surrounding area and Hong Kong on foot or bicycle as much as possible, and are pleased to offer complimentary hiking packs and bicycle rentals.

DIGITALISED GUEST SERVICES

Accessing room service and ordering at FEAST and Domain can now be done completely digitally by scanning QR codes with your phone — reducing the need to print, update and reprint menus.

LESS FREQUENCY, LESS IMPACT

Using the provided acrylic plate to request bed linen changes when needed helps to reduce unnecessary washing. The result is the conservation of water and energy, reducing the use of chemicals and prolonging the life of our linens.

NATURAL, EFFICIENT LIGHTING

Our floor-to-ceiling windows, energy-efficient dimmers and motion sensors allow us to light our spaces naturally and efficiently. Aligned with the HKSAR Government's Charter on External Light, we switch off decorative lights every night.

REUSE, UPCYCLE & RECYCLE

As we work towards a minimal waste experience at EAST, we are proud to share that over 80% of our hotel products are reusable or recyclable.

OUR FRESH AIR STANDARD

For our efforts to provide safe and healthy spaces for our guests and team members, we have been awarded an Excellent Class according to the IAQ (Indoor Air Quality) Certification Scheme by Hong Kong's Environmental Protection Department.

It was such a pleasure collaborating with EAST Hong Kong to create bespoke EAST-inspired scented candles and hosting a pop-up there. This has been a wonderful platform to not only showcase our locally designed and produced products, but also to present our other services to a wider audience..
