OUR

ALTERNATIVE THINKERS

Not ones to stick to a particular formula, we decided to celebrate our new experience in both analog and digital. Our night started strong with a live collaborative performance in our lobby with dancers backed by CWP’s erhu, while DJ Mu filled Xian bar with her mix of soul and funk beats that carried us late into the night.

Wan Pin Chu

A professional erhu player on stage, Wan Pin Chu — also known as Wan — is a Hong Kong-born musician who also doubles as a film composer. His continued exploration of music’s infinite expressiveness has allowed him to work in a variety of genres from classical Chinese and Western music to modern jazz, pop, and rock.

DJ Mu

A DJ, producer and founder of event brand Sugar House, DJ Mu is a local Beijing artist that welcomes everyone to join her party wherever she goes. Her musical style and the frequent events she hosts have helped introduce audiences in Beijing and across China to funk, soul, and Afrosound.

Of course, this event could not have happened without the creativity and contributions of our talented cast and crew:
