Lydia Wong, the rising bartender at Sugar

Lydia’s career in food and beverages began two years ago at a café and a bar, where she developed an interest in mixology, before starting her bartending career at Sugar in 2021. With just over one-year experience, she has made remarkable progress at World Class competition 2022 finishing in 1st runner-up.

When creating cocktails, Lydia thinks outside of the box by immersing elements from traditional Hong Kong delicacies into her mixology approach. She wishes to shine a light on the underrated and complex side of Hong Kong culture, a side that is not yet explored into too much internationally.
